And it's started already!
Sweetie has to be into work at 7 am today - super early for him. Shaving already. I think he might make it! I love that we live so close to work now.
I'm definitely hitting the gym this morning and afterwards I get to go to the medical equipment office and get a different type of CPAP mask. I have high hopes that this one will work. It's been so frustrating trying to get used to the first one.
Then I'm supposed to go do some volunteering - things I would normally do on Wednesday but because of the impending snow dump I'm trying to get them out of the way today.
I'm back to my daily weigh ins. This morning i'm down 2 lbs. For some reason gaining 5 lbs in January seems infinitely more manageable than 7.
I really need to go grocery shopping before school is out as well. I may be able to put it off until tomorrow, but with the ice and snow predicted tonight . . . well, not optimal. We have plenty of groceries so if I don't get to it, it'll be okay - I just wanted to try some new recipes this week and need a few things.

TGIM!
Mondays are my ME day and I haven't had one in a long while now. Sure, there have been days that call themselves Monday, but unless I have the house to myself and have no other responsibilities, they're just fakers.
Today I'll go to the gym. I will sweat and stink, oh yeah baby. I will do weights and crunches, the eliptical and treadmill. Maybe I will jump in on a class if I'm wacky enough. We shall see how it goes. I'll go to my favorite grocery afterwards, then come home and clean the fridge before putting all my fresh new goodies away. And I'll probably nap and/or read while the laundry is getting itself (dream!) caught up.
But now, just now. Kiddo's alarm is going off already. She's not gonna be happy since she was still trying to get to sleep at 11 pm.

Monday thief!
Mother nature did not cooperate and dumped a few inches of snow on our little burg overnight. Apparently it was more than the plows could handle and school was therefore cancelled. Bah humbug!
It was probably a good thing, though, to find out that Kiddo's snow boots will never again fit over her ginormous kid feet. Also either the cardinals & chickadees or my not-so-subtle husband left a little hint for me this morning - an empty birdfeeder at my spot on the breakfast table. So after boiling and bleaching the hell out of my table, Kiddo and I set out on our winter wonderland adventure. Reminder to self: clear room in the garage for the car before the next big snowfall. It took about an hour to get the car cleared enough to drive. Then ventured to the feed store and got in-shell peanuts, a squirrel block, and some bird food. I was tempted to get a deer block as well, but I'd have to trudge out to the side yard and open the gate to let them in the back yard where we feed them and I haven't seen any evidence of deer around yet this fall. I definitely don't want to tempt them to cross I-75 to get a little nibble.
Then we went shoe shopping for kiddo, stopped at KFC - I know, not healthy (the grilled stuff is horrid) and met Sweetie for lunch. Continued on to the other shoe store where we finally found some suitable snowkickers and then the dollar store and back home. Filled the feeders, got out some more xmas deco, and sat down.
Oh yeah, sitting down reminded me. I started my squats this morning. I did about 38 and unlike SOME wimps, I'm only slightly sore. Maybe I shoulda pushed myself a little harder.

I hereby institute *drumroll please* MEATLESS MONDAY!
Ta Da! I'll be having no meats today, even though I picked up some nice yummy chicken at the meat market today. I had a fish filet for lunch because I was really feelin the need for some Omega 3's. Some people count that as meat, some don't. In the future, I'm leaning towards "don't" because it will make the it oh so much more fun/challenging!
While I was out I bought fruit fruit fruit!! What kind, you ask?
Watermelon
Mangoes
Kiwi
Nearly ripe bananas
Green bananas
Frozen berries mix
Comice pears
What?! No grapes?!?!? I didn't see any at the store. bah!
Now the hard part is deciding what to have first. I'm pretty hungry so I was actually considering a smoothie, but maybe I'll do a kiwi instead, see how that holds me over until Kiddo gets home from school. Then we can split a yogurt smoothie or even a mango since both will be new adventures for each of us.
So far today I have walked 1.8 miles on Walk It Out. Not enough to suit me! Now I'm going to move laundry, have a fruity snack, and drink a bunch of water. Then I'll exercise some more until the bus comes by and drops off my precious cargo.

Shopping & stuff
Well, it's gettin kinda chilly in NW Ohio these days and last year's coat is way too bulky on me now. I also noticed that bras are definitely in order, and some hoodies or cardigans would be good. I'm looking for inexpensive stuff to get me through this size and or maybe the next one down. I don't even care if they're a little snug at first - I know it won't last long.
I'm thinking "just my size" website. Any other suggestions? Anybody know any good coat sales? Maybe I'll just do overstock.com again.
trying to shop online while I'm watching Biggest Loser. the strategies mess it up for me. That and the same scenes playing before and after the commercials. bah. These people better help me get inspired.
