The big news is that I've enrolled in online courses through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. The first class begins May 14 and I've done a lot of the preliminary "optional" lectures online already. I'm also reading Joshua Rosenthal's book titled Integrative Nutrition which is fascinating!
I was led to the program years ago when I first read Women, Food, and God by Geneen Roth. I've thought about it off and on and a series of recent events led me to take the plunge.
First, I found out that it costs 1/3 to 1/4 of weight-loss surgery which is not something I'm considering for myself, but it put the cost into a nice perspective.
Second, I took my own advice and decided to put myself first.
Third, we got our tax refund!
My first assignment is to take a Health History from at least 10 people (30 is optimal). It involves the "client" filling out a form and returning it to me. Then we discuss the form in person or over the telephone. Then I enter the information into a database to show that I've done the work. I'm a little nervous!! I hope I say the right things!
Oh yeah, and I'm down 1.3 lbs since the last time I weighed.
I'm no longer eating in the car.
I've cooked dinner 2 days in a row!
I'm trying to drink lots and lots of water.
I changed the background of the blog to reflect the peace that I search.
Enough changes for now!
You are awesome! I'm so excited for you about this course!!Yeah
