I intend to enjoy this Monday at home. Alone. By myself. Quietly.
Sure, sure . . . the Lowe's people will probably call and inform me that our custom-made door is in. that'll be nice to schedule the rest of my week. Door in, then alarm system. Hopefully we will hear from the heating specialist today as well. I'm really hoping to keep all these repairs from the break-in under five thousand dollars. Sweetie is keen on getting some new hyper efficient solar doodads added to the bill, but I think he'll change his mind once he sees how much we minimally have to put down. Of course, if you're going to do something like that I suppose this would be the time. I just hate letting go of money for something non-fun.
Lots of laundry to catch up on today. Everybody was scrambling to find a pair of matching socks this morning. I would've done a lot yesterday but I ended up going on an impromptu road trip to Ann Arbor (M - Go Blue!) to a tiny art gallery with a friend I don't usually get to spend time with. We had a blast.
Reading, centering, trying to get my head in the right place. Those are my goals, in addition to laundry, today. Probably a little napping too as I slept lousy last night. I haven't decided yet whether or not I'm looking at the forecast. It might be too depressing.
Do a little better each day and eventually you'll be doing fantastic things again. This is what I tell myself. What are you doing this lovely Monday?

Ouch
Well, I did some purposeful exercise. I walked about a measly little half mile with Kiddo using the Wii and the Walk It Out game. It was fun, but my back is sore and crampy now. Whatever was wrong with my digestive system was MEAN and I'm glad it's over. I didn't realize it had taken quite so much out of me.
So, tomorrow I'll do a little bit more, and more the day after that, until I can actually stand upright and move for more than 40 minutes at a time. For now, it's knitting and reading until bedtime while hub and kid watch some Scooby Do thing they've been looking forward to. Ok, she's been looking forward to and he's gotten talked into watching with her.
Laundry will be caught up after this load. Kitchen could use some work. It'll still be there in the morning. At least the sink is shiny and the dishwasher is doing it's work!

Sundays
I enjoy my Sundays with my church family, especially since that now includes my BFF. It has been a busy chaotic, fun day and I'm ready for some rest, but I need to force in some exercise soon. Possibly some lawn mowing as well. It's nice and cool out again. The cats are snuggly and so am I, but work must be accomplished in the yard and I do love my John Deere.
Today's sermon was about "entering the mission field" and how we can carry out our church's mission in our every day lives and spread the news to other. A little evangelical for Unitarians ,for sure, but it got me to thinking that it's the same thing we are each and all doing here in blogland. Yes, we are here for support and to gather information, but also to share with the world what works for us. I appreciate this community and you friends more than you can know. So consider this my official "thanks" for today. You're all the greatest.
