Disappointment

Well, today's my quarterly check-in with the Dr. I think we should go back to bi monthly. She's going to be disappointed (as am I) with my lack of progress.

Back up .4 this morning. No big deal, still down from Sunday .. . will do a little better every day until I'm doing great.

Sleep is going well. Now I need to get Kiddo up and ready for school. More later.

  1. Sometimes the days just go so fast and you realize that your spinning your tires and not getting any where! Believe you me i know that feeling.
However what helps me is that i only take one day at a time, it's pretty do-able when i stick to my plan for one day, then other and pretty soon they all add up :)

  2. Up .4 is nothing girly. That's just a good poop away from being down .5. :) I don't know about you but I always make sure that when I weigh in the morning I go potty first ... no sense weighing the waste right? If we've all learned anything from each other it's that we ALL go up a little now and then but up a little just means down a little more the next time. .4 could be water weight, hormone weight, waste (as previously mentioned) or even the clothes you're wearing. Don't weigh right after a shower either, I found out my hair holds almost .5 lb of water after a shower, even when I towel it. I'm sure your Dr. is going to tell you the same thing; if she's any kind of good Dr. she will because she should know that there are soooo many things that can cause such a small variation.

We are in it to win it yah? Chin up and push forth you're doing awesome!

  3. Glad the sleep is coming along. That's one step forward in a positive direction. Now you will be rested and you won't be subject to as many cravings and/or aches and pains.

Never look back ... always forward, moving in a healthy direction.

  4. Like you said, Sunday was a better day. .4 is just a tiny blip! Cheers, Rick

  5. Fluctuations of a pound up and down is pretty normal, especially for women (sometimes MORE than that up and down). Hormones. Salt in diet. Not enough potassium. Choice of macronutrients (more carbs, more water retention).

It's what happens every week's end or month's end that will show your progress. Keep your chin up and your food plan going. You'll lose it!

And I do weigh nearly every day. That way, if I have an uptick from salt or carbs, I cut back on salt or carbs or both to balance it out. I know I'm eating low cal, so if there's no loss, it's something else. Ya know? :)

  6. I am in awe of the fact that you are keeping your life moving along despite the sleep issues. You are one strong, impressive lady. My husband goes in for his sleep study on Thursday night. I'm getting anxious over the results already.

  7. Hey, on the brighter side, you didn't gain a lot. .4 lbs can be lost in a day. Then get back on track!

  9. Glad your sleeping better, and hey, .4 isn't that much, it was probably just fluid. I noticed when I cut back on sodium I started losing more.
